Humor can be presented in different forms and my favorite one is funny illustrations devoted to different acute topics. I think it is a unique talent when a painter can make you laugh with a help of a single visual image. So, if you feel sad or search for something to cheer you up, look through some of the works of these talented illustrators.
Andy Riley with his “Book of Bunny Suicides” seems to have discovered the key to success – take some taboo topic, like death and suicide, treat them with indifference, add some creativity and the masterpiece of black humor is ready. The series of pictures presents different ways invented by a rabbit to kill himself. Suicide ceased being a gloomy affair and strangely turns out into inspiring item. The book was first published in 2003 in Britain and immediately acquired great success. May be it can be explained by the ridiculousness of rabbit’s methods as he chooses really twisted and complicated ways the result of which is not obvious from the first sight. These pictures make the audience think and laugh after guessing the real intention of the creative self-murderer.
